What BB is

BB stands for "Baby Bits" — the smallest cashew fragments commercially traded, typically under 2mm. These are the finest particles produced during shelling, peeling, and grading. While the smallest grade, BB still meets food-grade specifications when sourced from reputable processors.

Best uses

  • Cashew flour — BB grinds to flour with minimal additional milling
  • Garnish toppings on sweets, desserts, cereals
  • Cashew-based seasoning blends and dressings
  • Industrial food ingredient (sauces, dressings, vegan meat formulations)
  • Premium animal feed (when food-grade BB cannot find a higher-paying application)
  • Cashew protein and flour for vegan ingredient manufacturing

Caveat — quality matters more at this grade

Because BB fragments come from various processing stages, lots can vary in aflatoxin, moisture, and foreign-matter content more than higher grades. Always request third-party testing certificates and verify FSSAI/APEDA (or BRC/HACCP for Vietnamese origin) before placing larger orders.
